Thos. Thompson will sell two mules, two cows, fanning mill, three stoves and other property at auction at his place at Withee on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m.
Jeff Miller, who has been blowing a horn with Williams' circus all summer, returned home last week. The circus having gone into winter quarters at Medford.
The following jurors have been drawn from surrounding towns to serve at the December term of circuit court: Thorp, O. Samulson, O. Moon; Withee, J. J. Hayes; Warner. Jas. Bryden.
R. A. Burss lost two cows last week in a peculiar manner. He had emptied an old salt pork barrel and the cows ate of the salt and drank the brine, dying soon after. Another one of his cows, in trying to jump a wire fence on Saturday last, lacerated hesself so badly that she will have to be killed.
