Gardening is now in order.

Mrs. J. W. Hommel, of Neillsville, visited relatives here last week.

Mrs. E. R. Wiley is visiting relatives in Adams County this week.

Pathmaster Aug. Soderburg is doing good work in fixing up the streets.

Mrs. Ed. Simerson, of Medford, visited with her parents at Eidsvold last week.

Geo. Helfter started for N. Dakota last week for a couple of months stay.

C. A. VanDusen has built a substantial fence and sidewalk in front of his residence lots.

Frank Bolin attended a few sessions of the Republican convention last week at Minneapolis.

Chas. Penney, L. Drinkwine, and Frank Banderob started for Mont., last week, to work during the summer.

Mrs. M. J. Martin has had her new residence neatly painted. The Douglas House is also receiving a coat of paint.

The M. E. Church camp meeting will be held at Barron July 6th to 18th. Thorp people are earnestly invited to attend.

P. Schroeder has purchased the B. Broeder house and two lots on the north side and intends building a new dwelling house thereon soon.

Fred Zimmerman received the sad intelligence of the death of his father on Friday evening last and departed for his home at Kiel on Saturday morning.
