Taylor, Charles L. (21 JAN 1806 - 13 OCT 1906)
We are indebted to C.M. Taylor of Loyal, Clark Co., Wis., for the few particulars of his grandfather’s death:
Charles L. Taylor, father of our former townsman, C.R. Taylor, died at San Bernadino, Calif., on Saturday, Oct. 13th, 1906, of heart failure. Deceased was born Jan. 21st, 1806, being at the time of his death 100 years, 8 months and 22 days of age. He had been sick several time during the past year, and each time recovered so as to be around again.
Grandpa Taylor resided in Colby with his son nearly two years before going to California to reside with his daughter. Charley went to that state last January in time to help his father celebrate his 100th birthday, and was still with him when he died.
