Roth, Edward (22 JAN 1886 - 27 NOV 1906)
Fred Roth went to Chicago on the Saturday limited to see his son Eddie, who is seriously ill in that city. Fred returned Tuesday morning and informed the writer that Eddie was suffering from a severe attack of typhoid fever, but was receiving the best of attention at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Later - Eddie died at the hospital Tuesday, Nov. 27th, 1906, from typhoid pneumonia. The remains arrived here, accompanied by Mrs. Roth and Miss Mollie, Wednesday noon, and the funeral will be held from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. J. Bizer officiating. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community.
Edward Roth was born in this city Jan. 22, 1886, and resided here with his parents until about five years ago, when he went to Chicago to work in the bakery of his uncle. He was one of our bright young men and will be mourned by all.
