A bouncing pair of twin boys were born to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Poppe of this village, on Christmas Eve. All concerned (including the happy father) are getting along finely.

December 31, 1856. The family then moved to Black River Falls, Wis. where she grew up. Cynthia then came with her parents to Clark County, Wis. in 1872 where she began teaching school at the age of 17. She taught at the District # 2, Withee, Wis. for 14 years. She died in Stanley February 16, 1949 at the age of 92. She was buried at the Thorp Cemetery, Thorp, Wis. |
