Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Foemmel and daughters, Ella and Selma, and Mrs. Ratch of Chicago are visiting their son at Mayville, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Klingbiel of Montello came last Thursday and visited at the Charles Tews home until Saturday. They were here on their honeymoon. Mr. Klinbiel is Mr. Tew’s nephew.
Mr. and Mrs. John Moen and sons and Mrs. Elmer Barr and daughter, Marlene of Amberg spent Sunday at the Otto May home.
Fred Kuester purchased the Ralph Montgomery place and has torn down the barn, and is rebuilding it. He will take possession on September 1.
Lester May has been transferred from the CCC camp of Fairchild to Camp Dodge at Dodge, Wisconsin.
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Gress and son Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hagedorn helped Mr. Anding celebrate his 80th birthday at E. Harriman’s a week ago Sunday.
Mrs. Ed. Evenson visited Mrs. May and Mrs. Martin, Wednesday afternoon.
Miss Edna Tews attended a shower at the Joe Haas home last Wednesday eve for Bernice Vandeberg, whose marriage takes place this Tuesday at the York Center Church.
Sherman Gress is moving a house and barn for Mr. Willman at Nasonville.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Schoenfeld and son Milton, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nickels and nephew Norman Sternitsky of Madison spent Sunday at Chas. Tews.
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Vandeberg and sons; Mrs. John Vandeberg, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Vandeberg and son Howard; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Voight, son Lyle and daughter June; Gladys Parrett and Frank Kelly helped Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Keller celebrate their 9th wedding anniversary Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gress and family spent a week ago Sunday at Eau Claire; her mother returned with them for a visit and is returning home this Monday evening. Gress driving over with her.
Mrs. John Vandeberg stayed with Mrs. Jennie Gress a week ago Sunday, whey they were to Mrs. Gress’ fathers for his birthday.
