Lex, Eliza (18 AUG 1847 - 25 JAN 1907)
Mrs. Nicholas Lex died at her home in the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., from heart failure, Friday night, Jan. 25th, 1907, in the 60th year of her age.
Mrs. Lex was in her usual health when she retired Friday evening, but passed peacefully away before the midnight hour.
Deceased came to Colby with her husband and children, from Calumet Co., in the spring of 1901, and settled on the Haslea farm, just outside the city limits. She is spoken of by her neighbors and acquaintances as a kind and loving woman and the many friends sympathize with the family in their deep sorrow.
The funeral was held from St. John’s Evangelical Church, conducted by Rev. J. Bizer, Tuesday afternoon, and was largely attended by the bereaved relatives and sympathizing friends.
