Koch, William (7 SEP 1846 - 4 FEB 1907)

William Koch died at his home in the town of Frankfort, Marathon Co., Wis., at 3:15 Monday morning, Feb. 4th, 1907, of heart failure, in the 61st year of his age.

Deceased was born in Brunswick, Germany, on Sept. 7th, 1846, and came to America with his parents in 1847, when but one year of age. He came from the southern part of this state seven years ago, and settled in the town of Frankfort, eleven miles east of Colby, where he was engaged in the mercantile business. For the past two years he has suffered from heart disease, but his condition was not considered serious until the last few days.

He is survived by his widow and six children, Chas. Of Stratford, August at home, Adolph of Milwaukee, Alvin of Fond du Lac, Willie and Ella at home, one grandchild, and two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Albert Glander of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Fred Backhaus and August G. Koch of Kewaskum.

William Koch was a kind and loving husband and father and was held in high esteem by all who knew him.

The funeral was held from St. John’s Lutheran Church in the town of Wein, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Karl Schmalz officiating.
