Prange, Christian (16 FEB 1832 - 10 NOV 1907)
Died, at his home in the town of Holeton, Marathon Co., Wis., on Sunday morning, Nov. 10th, 1907, of paralysis and old age, Christian Prange, in the 76th year of his age.
Deceased was born in Eichelback, Germany, Feb. 16th, 1832; came to America in 1868, and settled in Milwaukee, where he resided until Sept. 1877, when he came here and settled on the farm in the town of Holeton where he died. In 1876 he was united in marriage to Fredericke Schultz who, with ten children, four sons and six daughters, survive to mourn his loss.
Brother Prange was a member of Moritz Arndt Lodge, No. 218, I.O.O.F. of Milwaukee, and in the early years frequently visited Colby Lodge, and was an enthusiastic Odd Fellow, but of late years he health did not permit the long night trips.
After a short funeral service at his late residence, by Rev. Janke of Dorchester, Tuesday afternoon, the Brothers of Colby Lodge No. 234, there assembled, took charge and escorted the remains to the cemetery, where the beautiful and impressive ceremony of the Order was performed, as requested by our deceased brother.
