Mr. Denney came West in 1870, locating in Dubuque Co., Iowa. He came to Marathon Co., Wis. in Nov. 1875, and the following year located on a homestead in the town of Holeton. He moved into the village of Abbotsford May 8th, 1887, where he resided till the time of his death, which occurred at Athens Nov. 9th, 1907, he being 70 years, 9 months and 14 days of age.
Since living in Abbotsford he has worked during the season at the painter’s trade.
It was our good fortune to have known Warren long and well, and we only knew him to esteem him more highly as the years passed by. We join the many friends in Colby and vicinity in expressions of sorrow for the bereaved family.
