Turnmire, Janice M. (January 31, 1941 - January 9, 2006)

Janice M Turnmire, age 64, of Bangor, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at Franciscan-Skemp Medical Center in La Crosse.

Janice was born January 31, 1941 in Black River Falls, to Stanley and Wanda (Janicki) Kasprzak, Sr. On August 15, 1964, she married Douglas Turnmire in Black River Falls.

Janice was employed at Northern Engraving in West Salem for eight years. For the last three years, she was employed at the Wehr’s Oasis at Wehr’s Chevrolet in Bangor. In addition, Janice worked as an Avon Representative.

Janice was a LAHCE county board member. She was a longtime member of the Striped School HCE and a general leader in the Striped Strivers 4-H.

Surviving her is her husband, Douglas of Bangor; three children, Wayne Turnmire (Sue Knueppel) of La Crosse, Carol (Todd) Caulum of Bangor, and Paul (Sue) Turnmire of West Salem; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Marion Myers of Alma Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Stanley Kasprzak Jr; one sister Agnes Dvorak.

Memorial services were held Friday, January 13, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Jandt Funeral Home, Hwy 162 and Hattan St. in Bangor. Rev. Ron Nowland officiated. Friends called at Jandt Funeral Home on Friday from noon until the time of the service.
