Sienicki, Edward (3 FEB 1920 - 10 JAN 2006)

Edward Sienicki, 85, Spencer, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 13, at 1:30 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, north Spencer. The Rev. Rebskah Tarras officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Edward Sienicki was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Clark County, to Alexander and Magdalene (nee Skzypezak) Sienicki. He married Erma Oelrich in 1945. She preceded him in death in August of 1980. He married Lucille (nee Oelrich) Pilz on Oct. 24, 1981, in Spencer. He was a jeweler and owned a store in Breman, Ind. He was a volunteer fireman, liked fishing, nature, and feeding and watching birds in his later years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille, Spencer; three sons, David (Linda) Sienicki, Ely, Minn., Dennis (Kelly) Sienicki, Goshen, Ind., and Timothy Sienicki, South Bend, Ind.; two daughters, Helen (Paul) Hochstetler, South Bend, Ind., and Dorothy (Dennis) DeKeizer, South Bend, Ind.; four step sons, Bob (Mary) Pilz, Luck, Jeff Pilz, Mason City, Iowa, Brian (Debra) Pilz. Sheboygan, and Steve (Venita) Pilz, Spencer; five grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Stella Baugher, Walkerton, Ind.; and one brother, John (Irene) Sienicki, South Bend, Ind.
