Thompson, Gunda (30 AUG 1905)

Miss Gunda Thompson of Curtiss, Clark Co., Wis., and Dr. J.E. Simpson of Watertown were married at the home of Ole Thompson, the parents of the bride, two and a half miles from Curtiss, Wednesday evening, Aug. 30, 1905, at 7 o’clock.

About fifty friends and relatives were present. The house was beautifully decorated for the occasion and the bride and the groom were the recipients of many beautiful and costly presents. After the ceremony a sumptuous repast was served, after which Dr. and Mrs. Simpson, accompanied by a number of friends, drove to Abbotsford where they took the train for Milwaukee. After passing a short honeymoon in the Wisconsin metropolis they will return to Watertown where the doctor has a growing practice and where they will make their home.

The bride is one of Curtiss’ most popular young ladies and the doctor is to be congratulated on having so capable a helpmate.

The groom is well and most favorably known here, having practiced medicine in Curtiss and Abbotsford several years previous to his removal to Watertown. (Abbotsford Clarion)

The bride is a graduate of the Colby, Wis. High School and has hosts of friends here who will join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Simpson a prosperous and happy journey through life.
