Hamann, Louisa (26 MAY 1906)
Last Saturday evening at 8 o’clock occurred the marriage of Mrs. Louisa Hamann and Mr. Fred Reeg, both of Wein, Marathon Co., Wis. The ceremony being solemnized by the Rev. Carl Schmalz at the home of the bride in the presence of relatives and a few near neighbors. The bride was attended by her sisters, Mesdames Minnie Shafer and Lena Marquardt, and the groom by Messrs. H.C. Eggebrecht and Wm. Petri. There were the customary congratulations and then an elaborate supper from tables prettily decorated with cut flowers and ferns.
Both the bride and groom are well known people of Wein, and have the best wishes of a host of friends, including the Phonograph.
They will make their home on the groom’s farm in Wein township.
Owing to the recent death of the bride’s father, Mr. Fred Eggebrecht, the wedding was a very quiet one, the usual festivities being omitted.
