Brown, Clarence W. (December 24, 1874-January 19, 1959)
Clarence W Brown, age 84, a resident of the Town of Weston for many years, died Monday, January 19, 1959, at Owen, Wis.
Clarence was born December 24, 1874, son of the late Theodore and Maryett (Ransom) Brown. As a young lad he came with his parents to the Town of Weston. Most of his life was spent as a woodsman, but he also homesteaded in Michigan, where he farmed for a few years. He returned to Clark County in 1947 and resided with his brother in Christie before moving to Owen, Wis.
Surviving Clarence is his sister, Mrs. Ethel (Len) Boon, Greenwood.
Funeral services wee conducted Wednesday, January 21, from the Georgas Funeral Home. Rev. Frank B. Harcey officiated and burial was made in the Town of Weston Cemetery at Christie.
"Abide with me" and "Nearer my God to Thee", were sung by Mrs. Robert Peters, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W Scott.
Pallbearers were Jesse Richmond, W. C. Richmond, Frank Zickert, Alvin Jacob, Lisle Armitage and Clarence Holt.
People from out-of-town here for the services were Mrs. Ethel Boon, Clayton Boon, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Boon, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Holt, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Kaudy, all of Greenwood; and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sischo, Loyal.
