Easter services were conducted in the Redmond Church.
Your correspondent made a flying trip to the city Friday.
Mrs. William Rowe entertained a number of friends Tuesday.
Miss Anna Hales is quite sick with inflammation of the bowels.
G. S. Rowe and wife, of Chili, visited Mrs. Rowe’s parents at this place Sunday.
J. F. Barber has located and opened bath rooms at Winona, Minnesota. He has a host of friends in this vicinity, who wish him success and prosperity in his new undertaking.
W. H. Smithers and W. I. Lawrence went to Greenwood Saturday on business.
L. J. Fulwiler went to the county seat Saturday and brought back a new wagon.
Mrs. Safrona Bassett, of Hemlock, is in this vicinity visiting relatives.
Miss Mabel Snyder, of Humbird, was the guest of Mamie Snyder the past week.
Ernest Grabe and family spent Sunday at Nasonville with friends.
F. L. Snyder is keeping a bachelor’s hall.
Theodore Barber, of Withee, visited relatives at the Center Thursday and Friday.
George Smith went to Withee Saturday on a visit to friends and relatives.
A freak of nature can be seen at Ollie Chase’s? It is a calf all covered with wool and is a sight worth looking at.
Jack Parrett has been under the doctor’s care.
C. M. Campbell lost a valuable horse last Wednesday.
John Lastofka has returned home from the Dakotas.
John Kintzele is digging a well on his premises.
York Center is getting to quite a business place. It consists o a general store, post office, blacksmith shop, feed mill, shingle mill, cheese factory, town hall, church and a good templar’s hall. The St. Paul Railroad Company should put in a spur from Romadka’s and add a depot, which would be a decided improvement.
Why wouldn’t it be a good thing to organize a Modern Woodmen Lodge at York Center?
G. J. Smith visited relatives at Christie Wednesday and Thursday.
