Stannard, Willis D. (1857 - OCT 1908)
Died, Willis D. Stannard at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frances Prosser, in the town of Frankfort, Marathon Co., Wis., of gangrene, aged 51 years, 9 months and 10 days.
The deceased was born in Little Genesee, N.Y., in 1857, where he continued to reside until in March 1876, when he removed with his parents to Colby, and located on the farm in the town of Hull now owned by H.H. Fiebig. Until for the past ten years he resided at Riverside. He was a man of quiet disposition and respected by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his death, one sister, Mrs. Frances Prosser, and two brothers, Charles Oviatt of New York, and Wayland A. Stannard of Riverside.
The funeral was held from Riverside Church Sunday, Oct. 18th, conducted by Rev. C.P. Andrews. The interment took place at Colby Cemetery.
