Steinberg, Edna (Marriage - 28 Aug. 1935)
Miss Edna Steinberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Steinberg, Fairchild, Wis., and Mr. Barbee Cummings, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Cummings, Whiteriver, Arizona, were united in the bonds of holy matrimony in St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fairchild, Wis., at 2 p.m., August 28, 1935; Rev. Paul Buck performed the ceremony. The Misses Martha and Hazel Steinberg sisters of the bride and Merton Zank and Raymond Buck attended the couple.
The bride wore a white satin and a tulle veil and carried an armed bouquet of pink tea roses. The bridesmaids were attired in pastel shade organdies and carried bouquets of gladioli.
Miss Vera Hafenstein of Wisconsin Rapids, a college classmate of the bride, was organist. Lohengrin’s Wedding March served as a processional and Reuter’s Wedding March the recessional.
A wedding supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents to immediate relatives and friends.
The groom was born in Anchor, Texas, attended high school in Snowflake, Arizona, and was employed by the U. S. D. A. in Navajo County, Arizona. The bride was born in Globe, Wis., attended high school and college in New Ulm, Minnesota and taught at East York Mission, Ariz., the past year.
The couple will make their home after October 1st, on the farm known as the Miller place near Fairchild, Wisconsin.
