Olson, Hans (15 July 1857 - 25 Sept. 1935)
Funeral services for Hans Olson, whose death occurred Sept. 25 at Black River Falls, were held here Saturday at the Congregational Church, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Mr. Olson was born in Sweden July 15, 1857 and was 78 years, 2 months and 10 days old at the time of death. He came to America in 1881, settling in Michigan, and moving to Black River Falls in 1886, where he worked in lumber camps and at farming. In 1897 he moved to Clark County and in 1932 returning to Black River Falls where he has since lived.
Mrs. Olson died in 1930. Surviving is one son, Gust Olson of Black River Falls, and a brother, Gust Olson of Rhinelander who was at his bedside when death came. Mr. Olson was a kind and loving father and was held in high esteem by all who knew him.
