Altenburg, Lucille (Marriage - 9 Nov. 1935)

Miss Lucille Altenburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Altenburg, of the Town of Lynn, became the bride of Kenneth Dix, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dix of the town of Rock in Wood County in a double ring wedding service which was performed at the Methodist Parsonage in Neillsville by the Rev. Paul B. White, on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9, at two o’clock.

The bride was attended by her sister, Florence and the groom was attended by his brother, Earl.

The bride was dressed in a gown of royal blue transparent velvet of floor length and wore a turban of blue and silver, and sliver slippers.

The bridesmaid’s gown was a wine colored transparent velvet of floor length with a turband to match; and both bride and bridesmaid hald corsages.

At six-thirty o’clock the same evening a bountiful wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents east of Lynn to 24 guests, most of whom were relatives of the bride and groom, and the home was appropriately decorated for the osscasion.

The groom is a young man of industrious habits and has many friends. For the past seven years he has been employed by the Wood County Highway Department at Marshfield. The bride is a choice young woman who is well known in the Lynn and Lindsey communites, and the young couple have lately been honored with several parties at which their friends have showered them with many useful gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Dix will reside at Marshfield where the groom is employed, and they will be at home to their friends after December 1.
