Turner, Morris Melvin (6 Aug. 1876 - 21 Dec. 1935)

Morris Melvin Turner, oldest son of Melvin and Augusta Turner, was born in the town of York, August 6, 1876, and passed away at the Neillsville Hospital at 3:30 p.m., Dec. 21, 1935, reching the age of 57 years, 4 months and 15 days.

He was born and raised, and lived his entire life on the farm. On the third of October 1935, he was taken to the Marshfield hospital for an operation, after which he never fully recovered his health. On the 16th of December, he was taken to the Neillsville hospital for medical care, and seemed to be recovering, when he suddenly passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21.

He leaves to mourn, one sister, (Maude) Mrs. Chancey Stevesn, one brother (Newell) on the home farm, one nephew and other relatives. Also a host of friends and neighbors.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Turner home in the town of York, interment being made in the town of York Cemetery.
