Schulz, August E.W. (5 JAN 1885 - 22 JAN 1909)

Died, at the home of Mr. Bloomquist, at Tioga, Clark Co., Wis., on Friday evening, jan. 22nd, 1909, of consumption, August Ernst William Schulz of the town of Colby, Clark Co., aged 24 years and 17 days.

August was born to Mr. and Mrs. August Schulz in the town of Colby, Jan. 5th, 1885, and lived at home until 1905, when, after graduating from the Colby, Wis. High School, he went to Tioga, this county, to teach school. He had long been a sufferer from that dread disease, consumption, and at the close of his third year was compelled to give up teaching. He remained at Tioga with Mr. Bloomquist’s family, making occasional visits home. He had many friends wherever he was known who will sympathize with the parents, brothers and sisters in the loss of a loving and dutiful son and brother.

The remains were brought to his home Monday and the funeral held from St. John’s Ev. Church, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. Bizer officiating.
