Leitl, Jacob (8 MAY 1882 - 6 FEB 1909)
Jacob Leitl, who was injured a short time ago while unloading logs from a car at the Barker & Stewart Lumber Co.’s saw mill, died at St. Mary’s Hospital Saturday, Feb. 6th, 1909 from the injuries received. He was internally injured besides receiving a compound fracture of one of his legs. He was born at Beaver Dam, Wis., May 8, 1882, and moved here several years ago. His home was at 121 Fifth Av. South, where a widow and two children reside. Four brothers and four sisters are left to mourn his death. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 9, conducted by Rev. Crippen of the Baptist Church. (Wausau Central)
The Letil family came from Beaver Dam to Colby when Jacob was a baby, and settled on a farm in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., where they resided until about five years ago. Jacob, after his marriage to Miss Jennie Graf, removed to Wausau.
