Healy, Connor (29 OCT 1835 - 30 AUG 1909)
(Unity Register)
Connor Healy was born Oct. 29th, 1835 in the town of Kels, County Meath, Ireland, coming to this country and locating at Fond du Lac in 1846, where he met and married Miss Kate Cook, Dec 14th, 1858, moving to Unity in 1880, where he was actively engaged in the merchandise business until the fall of 1906 when he retired from active life. In his business life he was an active, energetic laborer for the upbuilding of his house and by all honest methods strove for success, in his home life he was a kind husband, a loving and indulgent father, and a firm friend with those whom he gave his confidence.
For the past few weeks it has been evident that the end was near and on Monday, Aug. 30th, his spirit quietly and peacefully passed over to the other side, leaving behind a sorrowing family consisting of the wife, three sons, J.H. Healy of Aberdeen, S.D., E.W. Healy of Reville, S.D., and E.J. Healy of Chicago, and four daughters, Mrs. G. Anderson of Thorp, Clark Co., Mrs. F.F. Groelle of Manitowoc, Mrs. Percy Thayer of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Geo. Fuerhelm of this village. The funeral services were held yesterday at the Methodist Church, Rev. Any of Stanley presiding. Interment in Brighton Cemetery.
