Zelle, Johanna (15 OCT 1829 - 24 OCT 1909)
Mrs. George Zelle died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Schulz, in the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., last Sunday morning, Oct. 24th, 1909, of general debility, incident to old age.
Mrs. Zelle was one of the old settlers of Colby, and had reached her 80th birthday a few days before her death.
In 1903, she and her husband went to the Soldiers’ Home in Waupaca to reside. In the spring of 1904, Mr. Zelle, died, and since then she has resided here with her daughters. She leaves five daughters to mourn her death, Mesdames Chas. Meyer, Aug. Schulz and Chas. Radtke of Colby, and Aug. Hannemann and Chas. Schoenemann of the town of Wein, all of whom are here for the funeral.
The funeral will be held this Thursday afternoon from St. John’s German Evangelical Church, Rev. J. Bizer officiating.
