Melvin Nye moved into his new dwelling last week. It is one of the handsomest residences in this vicinity.
Mrs. J. G. Soloman and Mrs. Oliver Dosteler have each applied for divorces from their respective husbands.
The ice on John McGrogan's pond has attained a thickness of fourteen inches and the cutting and storing of the same has begun.
Bert Smith will give a dance at Thielke's hall on Saturday evening Jan. 12. Tickets 40c. Good music will be in attendance. Everybody cordially invited.
Harry Gormley, who has a number of camps north of this village and is putting in logs for the Northwestern Lumber Company on contract, began hauling on Monday last having built substantial ice roads.
Herman Holzhausen goes to Madison next week to attend the dairy department at the agricultural school and learn the latest in the process of making good cheese and butter.
