Schueler, Augusta (16 APR 1834 - 16 DEC 1909)
Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Nelson, in Abbotsford, Thursday, Dec. 16th, 1909, from infirmities due to old age, Mrs. Augusta Schueler, aged 75 years and 8 months.
Deceased was born at Gestemke, Westpreussen in Germany, April 16th, 1834. In 1858 she gave her hand in holy matrimony to August Schueler. In 1867 they came to America and settle in Lomira, Dodge Co., Wis., where they resided until the year 1884, when they came to Clark County, locating in Abbotsford, Wis. Mr. Schueler passed from this life July 13th, 1899, since which time deceased has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Nelson. Their union was blessed with nine children, five of whom, three sons and two daughters are still living to mourn the death of a kind and loving mother. They are August F. Schueler, town of Colby; Mrs. Albert Franz, town of Holeton; Mrs. Isaac Nelson and Will Schueler, Abbotsford, and Herman Schueler, Granton. Al were present at the funeral.
The funeral was held from Zion Lutheran Church in this city, Sunday afternoon, the pastor, Rev. Carl Witschonke officiating, and was largely attended by relatives and friends of deceased.
The relatives from away who were here to attend the funeral were: Herman Schueler and Mrs. Wm. Kelpin of Granton; Mrs. Ludwig Janke of Northfield, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Nic. Otto, and Crhist Renhardt of Theresa, Wis.
