Frane, Kathrina (17 SEP 1856 - 14 NOV 1910)

Died, at her home in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), on Monday, Nov. 14th, 1910, of consumption, Mrs. Joseph Frane in the 55th year of her age.

Deceased was born in Sheboygan, Wis., Sept. 17, 1856. She was united in marriage to Joseph Frane on Aug. 13th, 1876, and resided at Fond du Lac until the fall of 1881, when they moved to Unity, Wis., settling on a farm where they resided until the Spring of 1908, when they came to Colby to reside.

Mrs. Frane will be long remembered for her bright intellect and happy manner, always having a kindly greeting for all, and was held in high esteem by her neighbors and friends. The tender sympathies of this entire region are given to the mourning household.

She leaves to mourn her early death, her husband and five children, Victor, Louis, Josie, Effie and Elsie; and two brothers and four sisters, Joseph Hertel, Sheboygan; Mrs. Alex Andrews, Thorp; Mrs. Abe Butler, Unity; Mrs. B. Schemmer, Chilton; John Hertel, Manitowoc, and Mrs. James Dower, Milwaukee.

The funeral was held from St. Mary’s Church, Wednesday forenoon, conducted by Rev. H.J. Artman, and was largely attended by sorrowing friends from the city and surrounding towns. The interment took place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
