A special 50 years program honoring Mrs. Julia Lindsay was held during the March
16, 1971 meeting of the Abbotsford Chapter No. 185 Order of Eastern Star.
Associate matron, Florence Stuart and associate patron, Grant Herrick, presided
at the meeting in the Masonic temple.
Mrs. Lindsay was cited for her continued activity in the chapter and was
presented with a t0 year pin, a life membership certificate, and a bqouet of
roses from her family. Guests at the program were her husband, John Lindsay, and
Sherman Loos, both of Colby.
Walt and Gracia Lehnertz, Bessie Thompson, Dorothy Hargraves and Dorothy Konecny
were hostesses. The dining room was decorated in St. Patrick theme, with little
Irish people and shamrocks, and the centerpiece was a large shamrock.
