Riplinger, Katie (7 APR 1909)
A nice little surprise was sprung upon the friends of Mr. Angus Lamont and Miss Katie Riplinger last Wednesday, when it was learned that they had broken through their corral, and strayed off to St. Mary’s Church at 6 o’clock in the morning, where they were captured and hitched together by Rev. J.M. Schramm. Hereafter they will trot through life in double harness, and will help each other if the load ever gets too heavy for one. The young people have grown from childhood in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.) and are very highly esteemed by their associates. They were attended by Mr. Earl Lamont and Miss Anna Riplinger.
Mr. Lamont has been in charge of a steam shovel in the west and is an expert at his work and well thought of by his employers, as well as his many friends.
Miss Riplinger needs no commendation. Her worth is known by everyone whose pleasure it is to know her.
After the ceremony a very pretty wedding breakfast was served at the residence of the bride’s father, Mr. Frank Riplinger. Only the immediate friends and relatives were present. The couple left on the 8:30 train for a short tour and upon their return will leave for the west where Angus will put in the summer.
The Phonograph joins with their many friends in wishing them all the blessings of life.
