Pokallus, Anna (10 JUN 1909)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at Zion’s Lutheran Church in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), June 10th, 1909, when Miss Anna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pokallus, was united in marriage to Mr. Gustav J. Wiedenhoeft, Rev. F.H. Moecker of Dorchester, performing the ceremony. The Misses Gusta Wiedenhoeft and Bertha Baumgart acted as bridesmaids, and Messrs. Emil Pokallus and Fred Bloom attended the groom. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, where the relatives and friends, helped to make merry, the afternoon and evening.

This young couple have grown up in this neighborhood and are well and favorably known by a host of people. They will reside in the city. The Phonograph, along with their many friends, wish them a happy and prosperous life.

Those from out of town attending the wedding were: Mrs. Ed Bloom and Children, Oakfield; Albert Bloom, Junction City; Oscar and Fred Bloom, Brownsville; Charles, Mary and Jessie Bloom, South Byron; Herman Westphal and family, Oakfield; Lizzie and August Bruchert, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Feller and Sm. Krause, Elmwood; Mrs. Lottie Meier and son Otto, Rock Elm, and Bertha Baumgart, Milwaukee.
