Heaney, Genevieve (3 FEB 1910)

The marriage of Miss Genevieve Heaney to Dr. Albert M. Christofferson of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., was solemnized this morning (Feb. 3, 1910) at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church by Father Merten in the presence of the families of the contracting parties, and a few intimate friends.

The bridal couple was attended by the bride’s sister, Miss Margaret Heaney and her cousin, Mr. John Riley of Stevens Point.

A wedding breakfast followed at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Heaney, on Granite St., and Dr. and Mrs. Christofferson took the 11 o’clock train south for a wedding trip. They will return to this city before going to Colby, where Dr. Christofferson is enjoying a lucrative practice, although he has been established there but a short time.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Heaney and has been a teacher in our public schools for the past two years.

The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Christofferson of Waupaca. He took his M.D. degree in July, making the fourth in that family to enter that profession.

Both Dr. and Mrs. Christofferson are graduates of the old Waupaca High School and have a host of friends here who will always have a kindly interest in their welfare. (Waupaca Record)

The Doctor and his bride arrived here last Thursday afternoon, and are nicely located in the rooms in the Cole building on Division St. The Phonograph joins in extending congratulations.
