Married, at St. John’s Evangelical Church, Saturday, Oct. 1st at 3 o’clock p.m., Mr. Carl H. Schmidt and Miss Martha Lemmin, Rev. J. Bizer officiating.
The young people are well and favorably known in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.). The groom is an industrious young man and at present is one of the able assistants in the store of John J. Grimes. The bride is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lorfeld and is very popular among her circle of friends. They were attended by Messrs. Aug. Hake and Aug. Gosse and Misses Anna Schmidt and Helena Lorfeld. After the wedding ceremony a reception and dance was given at the residence of the Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lorfeld, a large number of guests being present.
Those from out of town who were in attendance were: Aug. Hake, Sheboygan; Aug. Gosse and Mrs. Ernestina Gosse, Haven; Mrs. Chas. Lorfeld and daughter, Arvin Sommer and Miss Helena Lorfeld, Cleveland; Fred Plockelman and family, Dorchester; Misses Alma and Anna Schmidt, Marshfield; Adolph Hake and family, town of Green Grove, and Henry Gosse and family, town of Colby.
