THORP, Clark Co., Wis. - Services for Joseph F. Klak, 93, Thorp, who died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday at his home, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard-Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp.
The Rev. John Puerner will officiate. Burial, with military rites by Thorp American Legion Post No. 118, will be in Old St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Thorp. Members of the American Legion will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be at Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday with a parish rosary service at 7:30.
He was born April 7, 1897, in Thorp, to Ignatz and Frances Klak. He married Estelle Kurowski April 3, 1948, in Chicago. He moved from Chicago to Thorp in 1975.
He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a US. Army veteran of World War I, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of American Legion Post No. 118.
He is survived by his wife; three brothers, Walter of Greendale, Al of Chicago and Nick of Milan, Mich.; and one sister, Helen Wargolet of Thorp.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
