Krasselt, Ernest J. (5 MAY 1869 - 15 JAN 1946)
LOYAL, Clark Co., Wis. - Ernest John Krasselt, 75, a resident of the Village of Loyal for the past seven years, died at about 5 o’clock this morning at his home. A kidney disorder and complications caused his death.
The body is lying in state at the Krasselt home, where funeral rites will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, followed by a 2 o’clock service at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. J.C. Langhoff will be in charge of the services and interment will be made in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield.
Mr. Krasselt was born in Germany May 5, 1869, was educated there, and was married at Joliet, Ill., May 11, 1895, to Martha Marie Siegert. The Krasselts farmed in Illinois until moving to a farm near Spencer in 1914. Seven years and two months ago they came to Loyal.
Surviving are his wife and six children, Mrs. William (Elsie) Luchterhand, Marshfield; Mrs. Alvin (Vera) Kissinger, Chili; George and Eigert Krasselt, Spencer; Mrs. Edwin (Susie) Anderegg, Loyal; and Mrs. James (Emma) Engstrom, Woodstock, Ill. Two daughters died in infancy and a brother and six sisters also preceded him in death. There are 10 grandchildren.
The Krasselts observed their golden wedding anniversary last May 11.
