Schuld, Theresia (12 AUG 1858 - 27 JUL 1935)

Theresia Koch was born at Jefferson, Wisconsin, August 12, 1858 and passed away at her home in Loyal, July 27, 1935 at 6:40 P. M., aged 76 years, 11 months and 15 days. She has been in poor health for several years but the immediate cause of her death was bronchial pneumonia.

She was married to Simon Schuld at Jefferson at Jefferson on Thanksgiving day, 1880 and therefore had she lived till next Thanksgiving, Mr. and Mrs. Schuld would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Immediately after their marriage they came to Loyal and for many years lived on a farm in the Town of York. Here they lived the rugged life of the farmer of the past generation and here they raised their family. When age and poor health made their farm work too difficult they moved to the village of Loyal into a home they purchased on the east side.

Mrs. Schuld leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Mr. Simon Schuld, five daughters, Mrs. Martha Hagen of Milwaukee; Mrs. Rosa Gall of Loyal; Mrs. Tillie Bauer of Loyal; Mrs. Lenora Domine of Loyal; and Mrs. Angeline Frei of Loyal; also one son Mr. Leander Schuld of Loyal; 40 grandchildren and over 30 great grandchildren.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Anthony Aurit at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, 9:00 A. M. Tuesday, July 30th and she was laid to rest in the Loyal Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Schuld was a good neighbor and a kind friend and though of a quiet manner by her unselfish life endeared herself to a host of friends who will miss her.

Those acting as pallbearers were Mr. John Geiger, Mr. John Hubing, Mr. Frank Bayuer, Mr. Thomas Froeba, Mr. Frank Klimmer, and Mr. Joseph Wendel.

The following relatives and friends from out of town attended the funeral services: Mr. and Mrs. Wiseman, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Wiseman, Mrs. Rosa Scheckelman and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Zimmerman from Jefferson; Mrs. LeRoy Noeske, Mrs. Elmer Noeske, Mrs. L. Hagen, Miss Lorraine Hagen and Mrs. Wm. Hagen from Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Domine from Neillsville; Verna Gall from Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas La Verdure, Chilton; Aurelia Bauer from Klondike; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gall from York Center; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gall from Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. John Weber and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kramer from Rozelville; Miss Helen Domine and Mr. and Mrs. George Frei from Granton; and Mr. Joseph Bauer, Winter.
