Wibben, Judith Kay (27 MAR 1971)
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Baxter are making their first home at Route 2, Owen (Clark
Co., Wis.), following their March 27, 1971 wedding in Christ Lutheran Church at
Abbotsford.
The 1:30 p.m. ceremony, which united the former Judith Kay Wibben and Ronald
Baxter, was performed by Rev. F. H. Sprengler, pastor. Parents of the couple are
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wibben of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baxter of Dorchester.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a full-hooped
floor length gown of Chantilly lace, jeweled Sabrina neckline, long sleeves, and
matching jeweled petal headpiece with French illusion veil. She carried a
traditional cascade of white miniature carnations and blush pink carnations
entwined in lemon leaves.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baxter Jr., Villa Park, Illinois,
as best man and matron of honor, and Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Wibben, Marshfield, as
groomsman and bridesmaid. The flower girl was Yvonne Wibben of Marshfield, and
ring bearer was Dennis Wibben of Colby.
The bride's attendants wore hot pink gowns of organza and taffeta with ruffled
trim at necklines and cuffs, empire wiast with braid trim and matching petal
headpieces. They carried nosegays of jonquil yellow carnations outlined with
leatherleaf fern and matching streamers.
Donald Wibben, Medford, and Don Baxter, Dorchester, seated the guests. Ronald
Boss served as organist, and the church choir sang several selections.
A reception and dinner at the Colby Hotel followed the ceremony, and a wedding
dance at Dorchester Memorial Hall was held in the evening.
Mrs. Baxter is a 1969 graduate of Colby High School and has been employed by
Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Marshfield. Her husband graduated from Dor-Abby High
School in 1964. He is engaged in farming at Route 2, Owen, where the couple are
now residing, following a wedding trip to Illinois.
