Mohr, Harriet (21 January 1927 - 19 December 2009)
Harriet (Price) Mohr of Stanley, Wis., went to be with the Lord on Saturday,
Dec. 19, 2009.
Harriet was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Sprague and Pearl
(Best) Price. She attended Stanley High School but graduated from the Cadott
High School in 1944. She then continued her education at the Teachers College in
Eau Claire and taught in rural schools at McKinley, Highbank, and Robinson,
one-room schools for four years. On August 24, 1949 she was united in marriage
to Earl "Pud" Mohr at the Stanley Church of the Brethren. They farmed in rural
Stanley from 1940 to 1981 and retired and resided on Shoemaker Rd.
She was an active member of the Maple Grove Bible Church and was involved in
several mission projects in Mexico. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing
and family camp outs and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Harriet is survived by her six children, Peggy (Tom) Karg of Denver, Colo.,
Linda (Mike) Shilts of Stanley, Harvey (Sherry) Mohr of Cadott, Judy (Jim)
Brekke of Hudson, Sally (Dennis) Conroy of Hayfield, Minn., Kirby (Lynn) Mohr of
Sparta; 16 grandchildren, Kristi Fernandez, Jeff Karg, Matt (LeAnn) Shilts,
Philip (Rachel) and Travis Mohr, Ellie, Maddie and Hank Brekke, Nathan, Hannah
and Kelsey Conroy, Jacob, Bryce, Ryan and Tobin Mohr; five great-grandchildren,
Hailey and Emma Mohr, Noah Fernandez, Katie and Reese Shilts.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1998; brothers, Richard and
Dean Price; and sisters, Katherine Erickson and Lois Larson.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Maple Grove
Bible Church with Chaplain Steve Mohr officiating. Friends and family may call
on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel and one hour
prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow in the
Edson Union Cemetery.
Plombon Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
