Gorman, Mary (23 JUL 1844 - 6 JUN 1935)

Mrs. Mary Gorman, 91, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Albert, here, of old age infirmities, on June 6th, 1935.

Mary Dwyer was born in Montreal, Canada, on July 23, 1844, the daughter of John and Bridget Dwyer. She was united in marriage to Simon Gorman on Sept. 30, 1867 at Lebanon, Wis. They came to Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. in 1891 where they made their home until Mr. Gorman passed away in 1918.

Deceased leaves to mourn, one brother, D.J. Dwyer, of New London, Wis., three sons, Walter of St. Anthony, Idaho, John of Walla Walla, Wash., and Mike of Edgerton, Wis., and two daughters, Mrs. Mame Haggerty of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Nellie Albert of Thorp, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Relatives of the deceased accompanied the remains to New London on Sunday, June 9th. Funeral services were conducted at nine o’clock Monday morning by Rev. Father Herb at the Catholic Church there, and Rev. Skell officiated during burial services at Lebanon, Wis. The grand nephews acted as pallbearers.
