Schultz, Hans G. (27 MAY 1882 - 20 AUG 1935)
Hans G. Schultz, born in Germany May 27, 1882, died Aug. 20th, 1935 as a result of a sudden heart attack while fishing. He attained the age of 53 years, 2 months and 24 days.
Hans came to America with his parents in infancy. They located on a farm near Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. Nov. 18, 1908 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Braatz. Their union was blest with 2 children, Lawrence and Mildred, both at home. Hans was a loving husband and father and willing worker at home and in his community.
He leaves to mourn his untimely death, besides his family, his mother, Mrs. Francis Schultz of Stanley, Frank, Dan and Max of Thorp, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Stanley, Mrs. Helmuth Deuysen of Loyal and Mrs. Wm. Krause of Thorp, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Aug. 23rd, by Rev. F.H. Sprengler at the house, at 1:15 at Epiphany Luth. Church, Stanley at 2:00. Interment took place at Stanley City Cemetery.
The pallbearers were: Aaron Martelock, Dick Brandt, Fred Ladwig, Dan Schunk, John Techmeyer and Oscar Paap.
Two memorial wreaths were given in his honor for the extension of God’s Kingdom.
