Butler, William (4 NOV 1863 - 7 OCT 1935)
William C. Butler was born Nov. 4, 1863, in the town of Nelson, Buffalo Co., Wis., and died at his home in the town of Butler, Clark Co., Wis. on Monday, Oct. 7, 1935, having reached the age of 71 years, 11 months and 3 days. In May 1891 he settled in the town of butler and the following year, Dec. 8th, 1892, he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Brown of Augusta, Wis.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn, one son, Guy of Kaniyohi, Minn., two brothers, David of Butlerville, and Mack of the town of Foster, Clark Co., and nine grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Ernest Shoemaker, died in 1928.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m., at the Butler Schoolhouse, Pastor Carl Evers officiating, burial taking place in the Butlerville Cemetery.
