Hansman, Harry W. (1 DEC 1918 - 25 SEP 1935)
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hansman attended the funeral of Harry William Hansman, son of the former’s brother, Harry Hansman of Knapp, Wis., on Saturday last. The following obituary is taken from the Menomonie News regarding the death:
"Harry William Hansman, 16, youngest son of Harry and Helen (Wilcox) Hansman, town of Lucas, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 25, 1935, at 10:25 at the City Hospital in Menomonie.
Billy Hansman was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Menomonie and lived his entire youth on his parental home farm, on Miller Hill, which he loved so well. He was a graduate of the Dunn County School of Agriculture, class of 1935.
Although he was not of robust health, he took great pleasure in the youthful companionship of others and was an active leader in the 4-H Club.
Billy was cheerful through his sickness and never complained.
He is survived by his grief stricken parents; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Brehm; a brother, John Hansman; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Wilcox, and a grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Johnson, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held from the home on Miller Hill Saturday afternoon at two o’clock. Rev. Wendell Bennetts, pastor of the Knapp M.E. Church, conducted the service. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery."
