Peterson, Betty (Marriage - 2 Sept. 1944)
At a double ring ceremony performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Wee Kirk o’the Heather, a quaint Scottish Church in memory of Annie Laurie, Glendale, Calif., Miss Betty Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peterson, Minneapolis, became the bride of Elmer Schwarze, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schwarze, Greenwood.
The candlelight ceremony was ready by the Rev. Henry O. Kringel of Zion Lutheran Church, Glendale, amidst bouquets of gladioli, dahlias, and asters. "O Promise Me," and "Because" wee sung during the service. Friends were received in the patio after the bride and groom made their wish in the historical "Wishing Chair."
The bride attired in a pale blue dress and white accessories, and carrying a white Testament surmounted with a white orchid, was attended by Miss Betty Taylor, Los Angeles, as maid of honor. Miss Taylor wore a yellow suit with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses.
The groom was attended by Roy Zilk, El Segundo, Calif.
The bride was graduated from the South High School, Minnea. *** Rest cut off. * * *
