A strike beginning with a walkout Thursday, May 15, at 7:30 a.m. went into its
seventh day yesterday, Wednesday, at the Hurd Millwork Corp., Medford’s largest
manufacturing plant.
Around the clock picketing at both main and north plants of the woodworking
industry by nearly 300 strikers has been going on since the walkout occurred.
The impasse continued Tuesday afternoon when Union Local 1025 bargaining
committee and Hurd Millwork officials failed to reach an agreement for the fifth
sitting at the bargaining table.
