Wegner, Betty A. (21 AUG 1935)
A very pretty wedding took place when Betty Adele, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Wegner, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Michael L. Kaminski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kaminski, at 10 o’clock mass at St. Hedwig’s Church, on Wednesday morning, Aug. 21st, 1935, with Rev. Father F.A. Kulig officiating. The bride was attired in a white satin dress with a train and wore a long veil and carried a shower bouquet of white roses, gladiolas and baby’s breath. Miss Irene Broda of Chicago, niece of the bride, acted as maid of honor and wore a light blue organdy dress and carried pink roses and gladiolas. Miss Helen Dudd of Green Bay, niece of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and wore an orchid organdy dress and carried tea roses and gladiolas. Gracie Krakowiecki of Chicago, niece of the groom and Therese Jarocki of Withee, niece of the bride, acted as flower girls, wore peach colored celanese taffeta dresses and carried a basket of mixed flowers. The groom and his best man, Mr. Peter Panek of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., wore the plain conventional blue suits. The church was beautifully decorated with palms and ferns, the altar being decked all in white and the bride was pleasantly surprised by the members of the Gils Club, of which she was a member, who lowered a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers from the balcony. While the Senior Choir did their best part by beautiful singing during the services. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, it was very largely attended and lasted until the wee hours of the morning. Before departing for their respective home, the guests wished the newlyweds heaps of luck, health and happiness in their new life.
Mrs. Joe Krakowiecki and daughters, Alice and Gracie, Mrs. John Kaminski, the Misses Irene and Dolores Broda, Joe Lukasiewicz, Harriet and Betty White of Chicago, Mrs. Louis Dudkiewicz and son Bernard, Mrs. Putman, Felix Dudkiewicz, Mrs. Harry Dudd and daughters, Helen, Cecelia and Agnes of Green Bay, and Miss An Mikrut of Owen, Wis., were among those from out of town attending the gala even. Mrs. Adam Piekarz and Mrs. Frank Cesfsky of Chicago also attended the nuptial.
