Rogus, Sophia (1 SEP 1935)
An eight o’clock ceremony read by Rev. F.A. Kulig at St. Hedwig’s Church Sunday morning, united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Miss Sophia Rogus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rogus of this village (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.), and Kastodus Mikolainis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Mikolainis of the town of Withee, Clark Co. The couple was attended by Miss Bertha Mikolainis and Miss Josephine Bujalski, and Rudolph Wnek and Wm. Wojtkiewicz.
The bride was attired in a gown of white satin with veil, and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaids, the Misses Mikolainis and Bujalski, wore frocks of pink and green lace, and both carried bouquets of roses. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion with large palms and bouquets of flowers. After the ceremony the bridal party retired to the Odd Fellows Hall in Thorp, where a reception was held and dinner and supper served to the guests. The young couple are well and favorably known in this community, the bride having been employed in the Farmers Store as clerk for several years, and the groom employed on his parents farm. They will make their home in Chicago.
