Clarkson, Lois A. (Mengel) (8 APR 1933 - 25 MAY 2019)
Lois A. Clarkson, 86, passed away Saturday May 25, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau
Hospital.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday June 5,
2019 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel. Visitation will be held that day
from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Dorchester
Memorial Cemetery.
Lois was born April 8, 1933 in Owen, WI to Rudolph and Agnes (Anderson) Mengel.
She married Lloyd C. Clarkson on April 17, 1954 in Owen. Lloyd survives.
She is further survived by her Children: Roxanne (Bob) Ayer of Columbus, WI,
Kevin (Patty) Clarkson of Medford, Steven (Lori) Clarkson of Stetsonville,
Grandchildren: Ashley (Nick) Schultz, Danielle (Mike) Deprey, Crystal (Eric)
Arendt, Shantell Clarkson, Chad (Erica) Clarkson, Tina (Rob) Weis, Tanya
Leonard, Stephanie (Ken) Mueller, 9 Great Grandchildren, Brother Bob (Sheryl)
Mengel of Lakewood, WI and several Brothers and Sisters in Laws, and numerous
nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Infant Son Bruce, Son Michael and
Siblings: Dick, Dolores, Sandra and Kenny.
Lois worked for several area supermarkets including Krueger Grocery in
Dorchester, IGA in Medford, Copps in Medford, and County Market in Abbotsford
where she retired from in 1998. She worked in all areas of the super markets
from managing, ordering, pricing, stocking and registers.
She enjoyed cross stitch, embroidery and gardening various plants and flowers.
She loved spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, she made
quilts for every one of them. She also enjoyed her companionship with her
Pomeranian dog "Ginger." She was of the Lutheran faith, and a member at St.
Peter's Lutheran Church in Dorchester.
Memorial donations in honor of Lois can be given to her family, with designation
at a later date.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with
arrangements.
