Neumueller, Melvin O. (21 FEB 1931 - 21 MAY 2019)

Melvin O. Neumueller, 88, of Medford, passed away on May 21, 2019 at Aspirus Care and Rehab, surrounded by family, under the care of Hope Hospice.

Melvin was born on February 21, 1931 to Rudolph and Helen (Schwabenhausen) in the Township of Chelsea. He graduated from Medford High School. Following high school he began to farm on the family dairy farm. On June 2, 1956 at Trinity Lutheran Church, he married Irma J. Schwoch; she preceded him in death on April 19, 2011.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Men’s Club, Choir, and enjoyed being an usher. He loved going to baseball games and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Melvin is survived by his children, Deanne (Ronald) Blasel, of Dorchester, Sheila (Ray) Fuchs of Stetsonville, David Neumueller of Medford, Dale Neumueller of Greenwood, Dennis (Linda) Nuemeuller of Medford, and Wanda (significant other Joseph Gasek) Neumueller of Medford; 16 grandchildren and 27 great – grandchildren. Melvin is further survived by his siblings, Dorothy (Jim) Broeren of Minocqua, Vernon (Mary Ellen) Neumueller of Garden Prairie, IL, and Esther Schafman of Rockford, IL; sisters-in-law Ginny Neumueller of Wausau and Darlene Reynolds of Wisconsin Rapids, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Melvin is preceded in death by his brothers, Arnold, Harvey, Ralph, and Harold; sisters, Viola Anderson, Arlene Anderson, and one in infancy.

A Funeral Service for Melvin will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey with Pastor Gary Lodholz officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Melvin’s name may be given to to family for use at a later designation.
