Nimbar, Yvonne Eleanor (Petke) (1937? - 20 MAY 2019)

Yvonne Eleanor Nimbar (Petke), age 82, passed away on April 20, 2019.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 2 at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Come anytime between 12 and 2 PM, and please bring a pie to share. Identify at the gate that you are with Yvonne’s Celebration of Life.

Nimbar, Yvonne Eleanor (Petke) Age 82, passed away on April 20th, 2019. Yvonne grew up in Withee, WI with her two sisters.

She raised her children in Minnetonka, MN and has worked as a women's advocate at the Sojourner Project for over 30 years. Throughout her life, she made many close and lasting friends with people whose lives she has forever touched. Yvonne enjoyed her gardens, cooking, feeding the birds, baking for others, and caring for all those around her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Eleanor Petke.

Survived by her sisters, Kathy (Jim) Page (Aurora, OR) and Mary Lou (Ronnie dec.) Davis (Napa, ID); sons, Paul (Carrie) and Scott (Debby dec.); her daughter, Jodi; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren that she deeply loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 2nd at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Come anytime between 12 and 2pm, and please bring a pie to share. Identify at the gate that you are with Yvonne's Celebration of Life. The family will be collecting cash donations to purchase much needed items for the Sojourner Project house.
