Zielke, Roger Lee (6 JUN 1938 - 26 MAY 2019)
Roger Lee Zielke, 80, Prentice, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home
in Phillips on Sunday, May 26, 2019, while under the care of Flambeau Home
Health and Hospice.
He was born in the Town of Spirit on June 6, 1938, the son of Fred and Ruby
(Nelson) Zielke. He was married to Pauline Clark in Prentice on June 3, 1956. He
served his country in the Wisconsin National Guard. He was employed as a welder
by Prentice Hydraulics, Omark Industries, and then Blount Industries until the
time of his retirement in 2000. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting,
spending time in the woods, reading, and working with his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; by one daughter, Sandy; by one
daughter-in-law, Terry; by two grandchildren, Kendall and Julie; by one brother,
Richard (Linda) of Prentice; and by one sister, Delores Miller, of Thorp.
He is preceded in death by one son, Kevin; and by one brother, Fred.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
